While not explicitly stated in game, it is alluded to that Spartan Davis is absorbed into a Forerunner Durance. I would've preferred if it was omitted since it has yet to be expanded upon and it's inclusion felt forced. Not to say such a device couldn't or shouldn't exist, but give us even a blurb on what it's actual purpose is. The Forerunner device hidden on the Moon X50, that began to tear about Draetheus V seemed a tad contrived. The Battle of Draetheus V shows us a good look at early deployments of the Spartan IV's in the Covenant War's epilogue. I think the UNSC TACSIM has the potential for greater story telling in the universe, whether its substituting a squad of Marines or ODST's in a past conflict with a Spartan as we see in Spartan Strike, or if it was used to frame alternate 'what if' scenarios and takes on famous in universe moments. While the framing story aboard the Infinity with Roland takes places in Dec 2557 or later, the UNSC TACSIM has us playing as Spartan Sarah Palmer and Spartan Davis in 2554. This game introduces the UNSC TACSIM, or Tactical Simulator as the framing device for the story. Below I've listed off some of my thoughts for each.
